La mia arte si colloca in una dimensione intermedia tra la bidimensionalità del disegno e la tridimensionalità della scultura. Il suo collocarsi in questo spazio artificioso, vuole creare un continuo senso di straniamento che stimoli l’indagine sulla natura stessa della comprensione dei piani dimensionali e di come ci approcciamo ad essi.
Le linee disegnano figure primitive che si collocano tra lo schizzo e la scultura, in una condizione che è allo stesso tempo inedita e ancestrale. Il primitivismo totemico del disegno, residente nella memoria collettiva, viene proiettato in un piano esistenziale autonomo in cui emerge come risultato del processo dialettico tra pieni e vuoti.
L’istintualità dello schizzo viene impressa nella solida materialità del ferro, in modo da catturare per sempre quello che per sua stessa natura sarebbe effimero, pertanto è il gesto stesso a trovare una suo nuovo spazio esistenziale, non più limitato dal suo carattere epifanico ma stabile ed eterno.

Lines and Forms
My art lies in an intermediate dimension between the bidimensionality of the drawing and the tridimensionality of the sculpture. Existing in such a factitious dimension, it creates a constant sense of estrangement that demands a constant effort of re-balancing of the viewer. This affects our understanding of dimensions and the way we approach them.
The lines draw primitive figures half way between the sketch and the sculpture, figures that stay in a dimension that is unprecedented and ancestral at the same time. The totemic primitivism of the drawing, that occupies a space into the collective memories, gets projected into an independent existential space, in which it arises as the result of a dialectical process between solid and voids.
The instinctive nature of the sketch gets frozen into the solid materiality of the iron, in this way it captures and preserves something that its ephemeral by its same nature. As such it is the gesture itself that finds a new existential plan of existence, no longer bounded by its ephemeral nature but steady and eternal.
